Diana R. Williams is a strategic and innovative educator with years of experience advocating with families of students in special education, ensuring that they receive the proper supports and accommodations to be academically successful within public charter schools. Starting her career as a K-2 teacher in Camden, New Jersey, she now works as the Assistant Head of School where she has spearheaded the founding and expansion of the electives and special education departments at a charter elementary school in Brooklyn, NY. In addition to the work, she does within the school, Diana also has served as an adjunct consultant and advisor to teachers seeking special education certification at the Relay Graduate School of Education.
Diana is from Hillside, New Jersey. She earned her Master of Teaching degree from the Relay Graduate School of Education and her B.A. from American University, where she was initiated into the Lambda Zeta Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She currently holds her general education certification in grades K-6 in New Jersey and New York, as well as her special education certification in New York.
